UNESCO collaborate with Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) as organizer held a 3rd CONNECT Asia meeting together with SOI meeting on 31 May to 01 June 2010 at Directorate of Higher Education Indonesia.
Prof. dr. Fasli Jalal, Ph.D as Deputy Director General, General Directorate of Higher Education and Prof. Hubert Gijzen, Director of UNESCO Office, Jakarta has time to deliver the opening remarks of the meeting.
The meeting objectives UNESCO will develop next CONNECT-Asia activities
- to improve visibility of CONNECT, NRENs, and other ICT networks among universities and other academic communities in Asia and
- to collaborate regularly among CONNECT partners, and
- to collaborate with ASEAN and other international/regional agencies.
UNESCO will also discuss dynamic and innovative way of using ICTs as a new approach for teaching and conducting research.
